WCSB's Grumpy Old Man played his final show this morning. As an alum of THE Cleveland State University, I was saddened.
If I had a going away Podcast for Beacon of Speech, it would be filled with Metal, Punk, and 80's College Radio hits.
But the Grumpy Old Man played deep cuts of Classic Rock to perfection. For his last broadcast he unearthed many hidden gems and, as someone who truly loved the genre, he played a nice cross section of music for the hard-core classic rock fan, like Beacon of Speech co-founder Ted.
I wish the Grumpy Old Man well, he's too young to retire. I hope he turns up again on another station in the area.
