Wannabe Edgelord Amoye Favour's Poor Take on Metal

I was at MSN and saw this article:

Almost every single example was wrong. Whoever Amoye Favour is, I hope he wrote a contrarian list just to be edgy. If he was being serious, he's an idiot who needs to be demoted. What's a demotion as an MSN writer? Working the fry station at McDonald's? Morning stocker at Dollar General?

Sepultura and Max Cavalera - Sepultura's heyday was up until 1996.

Was Sepultura better after Cavalera left? NO.

Was Max Cavalera better after he left Sepultura? NO.

Both parties soldiered on, that's true, but neither "did better."

Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne - Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979.

Was Black Sabbath better after Ozzy left? NO.

Was Ozzy better after he left Black Sabbath? Artistically, NO. But financially, YES.

Both parties found successes after the split, but neither were able to replicate the mastery of the first 5 Black Sabbath albums

Metallica and Dave Mustaine - Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica even before their debut album Kill 'Em All was released, so obviously both parties flourished afterwards.

Anthrax and Neil Turbin - Neil Turbin was fired after Anthrax's Fistful of Metal debut.

Was Anthrax better after Turbin left? HELL YES.

Was Turbin better after leaving Anthrax? NO.

Neil Turbin is merely a trivia answer in thrash metal history.

Iron Maiden and Paul Di'Anno - Paul Di'Anno was Iron Maiden's lead singer right before Bruce Dickinson arrived.

Was Iron Maiden better after Di'Anno letf? YES, ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.

Was Di'Anno better after leaving Iron Maiden? NO.

Di'Anno turned into a heavy metal nomad.

Judas Priest and Rob Halford - Rob Halford did not return to Judas Priest immediately after their hiatus.

Was Judas Priest better after Halford left? NO.

Was Halford better after leaving Judas Priest? NO.

Both parties realized that mistakes were made, Judas Priest couldn't jettison local Ohio Metal Legend Tim "Ripper" Owens fast enough.

Pantera and Phil Anselmo - This entry makes no sense at all. Pantera broke up in 2002 and never had a different singer once Phil Anselmo was locked in. There was no Pantera after Anselmo left. Did the author mean Damageplan vs. Down? Neither was as good as Pantera.

Slayer and Dave Lombardo - This one isn't much better. Dave Lombardo left Slayer 3 different times, most of his time away from Slayer was between 1993-2001 and 2013-present.

Was Slayer better after Lombardo left? (Any time.) NO.

Was Lombardo better after leaving Slayer? NO.....

But Dave Lombardo has been in some pretty cool bands outside of Slayer, including Fantomas, Dead Cross, Suicidal Tendencies, and Mr. Bungle.

Fear Factory and Dion Cazares - Fear Factory? We are really scraping the bottom of the metal barrel. Why don't we discuss the nuances of Nonpoint? Next---

Korn and Brian "Head" Welch - Jesus Christ, what are we doing here, literally.

Was Korn better after Welch left? NO.

Was Welch better after leaving Korn? NO.

Welch left because he found Jesus. He came back to Korn because he ran out of money. Neither entity did anything consequential in their time away from the other.
