Trump Derangement Syndrome is Real

Holocaust survivor, and former Legal Director of the ACLU, Burt Neuborne, claims that Donald Trump is just like early Adolf Hitler. I do not like Donald Trump, but I am very sick of these absurd comparisons.

Trump is no Nazi, he's the embodiment of the "Ugly American." Loud, crass, and self-absorbed. You don't believe anything Trump says because tomorrow he'll say something totally different.

Trump is a Populist and will contradict himself to different groups because he wants to be all things to all people, when in reality he is only beholden to himself. If I was in the room with you, I would smack you in the head and scream "TRUMP IS ONLY ABOUT TRUMP, THERE IS NOT ONE SHRED OF NAZI IDEOLOGY GUIDING HIM."

Trump has no allegiance to any race or creed, he only has an allegiance to his Rich Friends that can help him return to power. And to show the utter idiocy of the comparison, during Donald Trump's administration, he recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel to the howls of disapproval from the Left, specifically "The Squad." The reincarnation of Hitler would not recognized Israel's right to exist.

Here are the 20 serious points of comparison between the early Hitler and Trump, according to Neuborne (in italics):

1. Neither (Trump nor Hitler) was elected by a majority.

BOS Response: Really? By Neuborne's logic, George W. Bush was Hitler. Abe Lincoln was apparently Hitler, too.

2. Both (Trump and Hitler) found direct communication channels to their base.

BOS Response: Um, I'm about to scrub this whole article. EVERYONE uses direct communications to their base. You say Joe Biden doesn't use social media? Because he doesn't know how to. Vice President Kamala Harris has 15 million followers on X alone, a social media platform that she hates. I didn't count the number of followers on all of her other platforms.

3. Both blame others and divide on racial lines.

BOS Response: Just last week I read this from a Harris Supporter, "if you don't vote for Kamala Harris, you ain't Black."

4. Both relentlessly demonize opponents.

BOS Response: You know who's relentlessly demonized in America? Third Party candidates. When Hillary Clinton lost, she lashed out at both Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Candidate Jill Stein. The Left still harasses poor Ralph Nader, screeching that he cost Al Gore the 2000 election. Many on the Left still consider Nader a pariah almost a quarter century later. Let's put the top 5 candidates on the debate stage, that way it's harder to play the "vote against the other guy" game. Is Trump rougher with his language than other politicians? Yeah, again, because Trump is about Trump, other politicians are about political optics.

5. They unceasingly attack objective truth.

BOS Response: Trump does attack the truth. I can't argue that. You know who else does that? The mainstream media....

6. They relentlessly attack mainstream media.

BOS Response: The mainstream media is specifically in the bag for the Democrat Party. Do they give voices to the Right? They don't, that's why Right-Wing media has its niche. You're an average citizen looking for an independent voice? Good luck with that.

7. Their attacks on truth include science.

BOS Response: The Right attacks climate change and it is attacking science.

The Left attacks biological facts about sex and the mainstream media calls it hate speech.

8. Their lies blur reality--and supporters spread them.

BOS Response: It is my perception that Trump lies more than Harris, but that may or may not be true because she speaks in platitudes and gobbledygook. What is true is that the Left's supporters lie at a greater rate. Neuborne is comparing Donald Trump, who started no wars, to Adolf Hitler, arguably the most villainous dictator of the last century. The Constitution protects America and Donald Trump has a track record. Show me, not in words, but in actions, where Donald Trump killed more people than Barack Obama or Joe Biden. Show me the concentration camps Donald Trump built. They don't exist.

I cannot use enough synonyms. Hitler = Trump is absurd, preposterous, farcical...

9. Both orchestrated mass rallies to show status.

BOS Response: Again, both Democrats and Republicans have mass rallies.

10. They embrace extreme nationalism.

BOS Response: Neither candidate for president embraces extreme nationalism. Does Trump focus on nationalism too much? I could argue that. Does Harris NOT focus enough on nationalism? I could argue that also.

11. Both made closing borders a centerpiece.

BOS Response: The centerpiece of Nazism was not closing the borders, it was killing Jews and Minorities. Jews and Minorites were NOT trying to get into Germany once those concentration camps opened. Minorities were actively fleeing the country. # 11 is revisionist history at its finest.

12. They embraced mass detention and deportations.

BOS Response: Big difference between concentration camps and deporting citizens who will be back a month.

13. Both used borders to protect selected industries.

BOS Response: This whole list is a real stretch.

14. They cemented their rule by enriching elites.

BOS Response: Almost every successful ruler in the history of the world cemented their rule by enriching elites. Is Trump now Nero? Caligula? Marcus Aurelius?

15. Both rejected international norms.

BOS Response: Hitler started invading other countries as soon as he got the chance. Within 5 years, the Nazi flag was planted in Austria. Within 5 years, Trump was voted out of office, started no wars, and withdrew from Syria.

Was Trump personally mean to our allies and nice to dictators? I don't care. He didn't start any wars.

16. They attack domestic democratic processes.

BOS Response: I am going to say this again, very slowly. So even the frail Burt Neuborne can understand it. In the year 2020, Donald Trump was voted...out....of....office. No general tried to return him to power. No Senator or Congressman overturned the results. A couple thousand followers of Trump threw a temper tantrum. Delusional Donald Trump had no path to re-ascend to power. NONE.

17. Both attack the judiciary and the rule of law.

BOS Response: Trump attacks the judiciary with angry words when things don't go his way. The Left attacks the judiciary in a very real way. In the last 4 years, the Left has tried to enact term limits on the Supreme Court, tried to expand the number of Supreme Court Justices, and paid actors to riot when Supreme Court Cases don't go their way.

18. Both glorify the military and demand loyalty oaths.

BOS Response: There is a long list of generals warning America about Donald Trump. You can't say Trump is loved by the military and hated by the military, just like Hitler. Now you're just using word salad.

19. They proclaim unchecked power.

BOS Response: You can proclaim anything you want. I can say I'm the King of the Universe. But Donald Trump has never changed the Constitution itself in a way that circumvents the Judicial Branch or the Legislative Branch. I can't say this enough, Trump has a track record, he never actually tried to alter the Constitution to give himself unchecked power.

Now his lawyers have argued that he had more power than is allowed by the Constitution, but technically Trump is a Felon. A conviction in relation to a sexual encounter. Do you remember the trial that made Hitler a Felon? He tried to stage a coup, with real guns and real soldiers. Donald Trump crossed the line in a Department Store dressing room.

20. Both relegate women to subordinate roles.

BOS Response: Almost every ruler in the history of the world relegated women to subordinate roles. With the exception of a few Scandanavian Countries over the last generation, no country is run by women with mostly women in the country's cabinet.

Hillary Clinton is out there, today, saying Trump is planning a "Hitler-esque Rally" in New York City. If Donald Trump was Hitler, she would have been publicly hung in 2017. Her very existence negates the Hitler comparisons.

Even the Drudge Report is in on the hysterics. Look closely at Honest Abe. We did not doctor that photo for effect. Donald Trump was president for 4 years, either vote for him based on that, or don't, but Trump had a record to either promote or run from. Not the fairy tales the Left is generating in the media. Donald Trump has not held office for 4 years

I remember some on the Left calling George W. Bush 'Hitler.'

Now many on the Left calls Trump 'Hitler.'
