Liberal Corporate News Professionals

Sometimes I have a crisis of faith and I worry that I'm just not smart enough to make Beacon of Speech work. Of course I'm a failure, my writing simply isn't strong enough or my insight isn't sharp enough.

But then I saw that CNN asked their contributors for their predictions in 2024. It was pure unadulterated tripe. Esteemed Professionals making 6-figures a year were no better than what I do here at BOS. So, I wrote down their predictions and graded them out.

QUESTION 1:

Who Will Win the Nobel Peace Prize?

And the correct prognosticator was..... NO ONE.

The actual winner was NIHON HIDANKYO.

Not familiar with Nihon? It's because they're not a person, it's a Japanese group that focuses on the abolition of nuclear weapons.

What did CNN journalists predict? (CNN Writers in Bold - Our response below.)

SE Cupp: Qatari Negotiators in the Israeli Hostage Deal

BOS: That would have been a fair answer, if the Qatari negotiators were successful in releasing more than a handful of the hundreds of hostages.

Jill Filipovic: A climate leader like Indigenous Leader Nemonte Nenquimo

BOS: Woke Garbage.

Frida Ghitis: Volodymyr Zelensky

BOS: I agreed with the sentiment, but I knew it wouldn't happen.

Allison Hope: Israel's Opposition Leader Benny Gantz

BOS: Uh....no.

Joey Jackson (CNN Legal Analyst): Joe Biden

BOS: I asked our Beacon of Speech legal analyst Ted, and he said Donald Trump. Joey Jackson has the same street cred as Ted.

Roxanne Jones: TWO climate leaders, like Indigenous Leaders Victoria Tauli-Corpuz and Juan Carlos Jintiach.

BOS: More Woke Garbage

Don Lincoln: Alexei Navalny

BOS: I would have voted for Navalny also. Lincoln and I were both wrong.

Dean Obeidallah: Taylor Swift

BOS: Obeidallah is certifiable an idiot. Can you imagine if I said one of my favorite musical artists should win the Nobel Peace Prize?

Megan Ranney: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

BOS: "President" of the UAE? No.

Kent Sepkowitz: Biden

BOS: More partisan crap.

Gene Seymour: Qatari Negotiators

BOS: No.

Alice Stewart: Zelensky

BOS: Again, no.

Sara Stewart: Greta Thunberg

BOS: Do leftists just pick their heroes, then throw darts on a board to see who should win the Peace Prize?

Holly Thomas: Whoever negotiates an Israel-Hamas cease fire.

BOS: Last I checked, still no cease-fire. Bad, bad prediction.

Jeff Yang: Chef Jose Andres.

BOS: The more I read about Jose Andres, the more intrigued I was.

Again, Navalny was framed, jailed, poisoned, and then sent to Siberia simply for opposing Putin. No one had that resume. No one. You can still buy Navalny's book at Amazon.

No one at CNN was better with their predictions, no one at CNN had a better answer than mine.

Question 2:

Who Will Be Elected President in the 2024 US election?

And, obviously, the correct answer was Donald Trump.

What did CNN journalists predict? (CNN Writers in Bold)

Again, they more or less had a 50/50 choice.

SE Cupp: Trump

Jill Filipovic: Biden

Frida Ghitis: Biden

Allison Hope: Biden

Joey Jackson: Nikki Haley

BOS: We thought the same thing.

Roxanne Jones: Biden

Don Lincoln: Biden

Dean Obeidallah: Biden

Megan Ranney: Biden

Kent Sepkowitz: Biden

Gene Seymour: Biden

Alice Stewart: Trump

Sara Stewart: Biden

Holly Thomas: Trump (Predicted in the spirit of packing an umbrella to ensure it doesn't rain.)

BOS: What? Both Obeidallah and Thomas are insufferable.

Jeff Yang: Biden

You want to mock me for picking Haley? Almost every CNN writer had Biden making it to the November Election, which he didn't do. Only 2 out of 15 CNN writers (Holly Thomas doesn't count) got a 50/50 question right. If Harris would have won, it would have been 0 for 15.

But you know what? You see all those reporters above? 15 of 15 voted for Kamala Harris.

How does no one else see the problem with that?

Apparently, on the second question, I am just as stupid as CNN reporters.

I should feel better, but I don't.
