There seems to be a lot of confusion in the United States as to whether Jesus is on your side or not on your side of any given argument. Whether you like it or not, the United States was founded on vague Christian concepts and certain governmental structures found in Europe.
So let's take race out of it and answer fundamental questions about the United States based on the Bible.

We can go on like this all day long, but we'll stop there.
What I'm trying to say is that if Jesus were here today, he would be pissed. Are there exceptions to every rule? Absolutely. You're yelling at me that you're an agnostic? Ah, that's the whole point of the article.
The United States is a government, not a church. Not every American believes what you or I believe. There are many different levels of religious belief from Christian Zealot to Satanist and a whole spectrum in between.
If you don't care about Jesus, that is your prerogative. Let me be clear here, all I am saying is that you can't say things like "Jesus wants me to do pornography," then cite the Bible.
"Jesus would support my abortion." Really? You might have skimmed over a lot of very important Bible verses. "Jesus supports my governmental administration." Uh, not by using the Bible as a prop, he doesn't. America has to be run for all citizens.
Jesus preached a certain set of values which is your choice to follow or ignore. What is happening today is that people think they are good and then are trying to impose their values on Christ. That is backwards. In the United States, you have religious freedoms guaranteed to you by the Constitution, but just because you think you're good in your own mind, doesn't mean that you are following the teachings of Christ.
You know what Satan says? Keep on rioting, looting, and judging others by the color of their skin.
Editor's Note:
Fred is barely a religious scholar. His minor at Cleveland State University was in Religious Studies, but the focus of the program was more about the Historical Jesus than any deep theological discussions.
