Editor's Note: I caught a Christmas Cold and have been unable to focus. So, instead of writing, I have been doing some housecleaning. In the DRAFTS section of the Beacon of Speech Blog, there are over 200 partially written articles. About half of them are only a paragraph long or a simple skeleton.
As I deleted article after article, I came across this skeleton for Goodbye, Christopher Beem. I kind of paused because I have no idea who Christopher Beem is. I have no idea why I was saying goodbye to him. And I really don't remember what the hell the point of my story was supposed to be.
Apparently, Christopher Beem is the Managing Director of the McCourtney Institute of Democracy.
I had 3 articles tagged from Mr. Beem:
From 2016: Donald Trump is Unelectable.
From 2022: Trump Election Deniers
I re-read 2 of the 3 articles, (one is now hidden behind a CNN paywall), and have no idea what I was thinking.
Maybe I was thinking:
Just because you have a fancy title, doesn't mean you know everything.
I don't think that was it. Or else I'd be calling hack, partisan writers out every day.
I should give myself an important title.
How about: The Grand Uniter at the Free Speech Institute of American Excellence.
Yeah, I think my point was sarcasm!
Uggh, I don't feel so good.
I think I'm going to watch Public Domain Cartoons until I fall asleep.
