Partisan Hack Dean Obeidallah is at it again. Democrats aren't the party of cancel culture, it's the evil Republicans.
"The reality, though, is that it's the GOP that is the party of cancel culture." - CNN
I am really sick of partisan hacks all the way around today and Dean Obeidallah is at the top of the list. Let's say your Grandma and Grandpa died of Covid. That probably was the GOP's fault. Their view on the coronavirus was that 99% of you will live, we don't like masks, and the economy is too important shut down.
If your Grandma and Grandpa died in a nursing home, that was probably the fault of your Democrat Governor. If your Grandma and Grandpa were robbed and beaten during the escalation of crime over the past year, you can thank your friends in the Democrat Party for the defund the police movement.
Listen, we can play this game all day, name a topic. Donald Trump tried to cancel the results of the 2020 election? Yeah, just like the Democrats tried to cancel the results of the 2000 and 2016 elections. They actively tried to de-legitimize George W. Bush throughout his presidency.
Freedom of speech is under attack from both sides of the aisle. Both the Democrats and Republicans would have you believe it is only the other party trying to take your Free Speech rights.
On the same day Obeidallah's article was published, the New York Times tried to cancel Pepe le Pew.
I hate to tell Dean Obeidallah this, but the New York Times is NOT THE RIGHT.
And I am going to keep beating this drum. Dean Obeidallah is as far left as Rush Limbaugh was to the right. Dean Obeidallah is not writing columns for the Dean Obeidallah Show, he is writing columns for CNN. He is lurching that cable channel further and further to the left.
So when CNN decries partisanship run amok, it can look at itself in the mirror for the current atmosphere.
On the very pages of CNN, they decried the fall of the Fairness Doctrine as the reason for the rise of Rush Limbaugh and his ilk. But guess what? If we re-installed the Fairness Doctrine, CNN would have to fire half their staff, including Obeidallah, in order to balance out their content.
Obeidallah closes his latest propaganda statement this way: "Democrats should be able to "cancel" a bunch of Republican candidates come the 2022 election."
And Beacon of Speech will end their article this way: You want to end cancel culture? Let's defund the Republican and Democratic Parties and allow the First Amendment to prosper in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
