CNN's Selective Memory

One of the featured stories at CNN this past weekend was:

Now is CNN's story true? Oh, I'm sure it is.

Then what's my beef with CNN about this story? Oh, about a half a dozen things.

  1. When did RFK Jr. say these mean things? About a year ago. When RFK Jr.'s third party candidacy could have hurt K.amala Harris, CNN ignored RFK Jr's run. Why are they covering his words now? Because it hurts the guy they don't like.

  2. Why did RFK Jr. say those mean things? At the time, CNN barely covered the third party run unless RFK Jr. said something truly bewildering. About the same time RFK Jr. compared Trump to Hitler, he admitted that a worm ate part of his brain. So, when CNN agrees with something RFK Jr. says, he's a genius. When he says something CNN doesn't agree with, he's brain damaged.

  3. RFK Jr. isn't the only one to call Trump Hitler. Almost half of CNN's reporters called Trump Hitler, including Dean Obeidallah, Jill Filipovic, and Holly Thomas. Where's the story holding Obeidallah's feet to the fire?

  4. Why don't I have more examples from the story? Because CNN installed a pay wall. This is the 10th+ story about Trump being Hitler. Why do I need to pay for that?

  5. Why doesn't CNN like RFK Jr. as Health and Human Services Secretary? Let me ask you a question? Who could Trump have picked that CNN would have liked? (Hint: Unless Trump chose a Democrat, it would have been a bad pick.)

  6. What do we do here at Beacon of Speech? We are Free Speech Provocateurs. We are not Free Speech Absolutists, but we are pretty close. (We are much closer to the definition than poser Elon Musk.) The author of the CNN article, Andrew Kaczynski, is the opposite of a Free Speech Absolutist. He digs through the vast internet archives trying to find something you said wrong, then tries to get you canceled. Again, a lifetime ago, it was the Left that were Free Speech Warriors.
