cleveland.com's Impossible Lose-Lose Situation

Back in April, chief editor Chris Quinn at cleveland.com wrote a Letter from the Editor justifying the newspaper's uneven coverage of Joe Biden and Donald Trump in the presidential race. Quinn stated that Joe Biden was just your average American Politician and Donald Trump was Young Hitler.

Well, well, well, Young Hitler won. Now one of 2 things are going to happen:

  1. Trump really is Young Hitler and is going to arrest and torture Chris Quinn to death for his "lies." Trump will slap padlocks on the doors of cleveland.com and erase the website and the newspaper from the public consciousness. You'll see Quinn dragged into the night by Trump's stormtroopers on Fox 8 News. Sucks to be Chris Quinn.

  2. Or, Chris Quinn was a big, fat, far-left wing liar, trying to scare the common man into voting for the candidate that he wanted to win.

Now in scenario # 1, Chris Quinn loses because he's dead. In scenario # 2, if he's allowed to keep publishing his lies, he loses, because even the most casual Cleveland citizens will see that Quinn was nothing more than a highly paid propagandist. At least in scenario # 1, Quinn dies a martyr's death for a worthy cause in a maximum-security prison.

You think I'm being too hard on poor ol' Chris Quinn? Calling someone Young Hitler is a very serious allegation without having any evidence of secret concentration camps in your back pocket.

Every time Chris Quinn criticized Donald Trump, his argument was "words have meaning."

That is a 2-way street.
