The L.A. Lakers did not draft Bronny James to help them win basketball games. They drafted him in order to make LeBron James happy.
Why did LeBron James want his son to be drafted? Because LeBron wants his son(s) to be in the family business.
Why did the L.A. Lakers go along with this plan? I have no f$cking idea.
ESPN will spin LeBron and Bronny as a feel-good story.
How do you feel good about this stat line?
Look at the bottom line:
13 Minutes
0-1 Field Goals
0 Points
2 Rebounds
4 Turnovers
3 Fouls
-16 Plus/Minus
You do know what plus/minus is, right? For the 13 minutes Bronny was on the floor, the Lakers were outscored by 16. That stat line is bad. Real bad. What makes it worse is the Suns were barely trying, it was a meaningless preseason game in October.
How bad will that stat line look when games start to count? I anticipate Bronny will be sent down to the G-League before he's embarrassed in a real game.
