I am not the most tech-savvy guy around. When I need to search something, I just use google. But after reading about some of the group-think going on at Google, it makes me wonder about some of Google's competitors, if that might be a better option for our little Blog here in the future.
Now Beacon of Speech is a low cost endeavor, we have no budget and our search tags are simply Beacon of Speech. The YouTube channel we're on is Fred Hunt. We advertise ourselves as politically neutral, but Fred (me) clearly leans between Libertarianism on one day and angry anarchist on another. While Ted leans to the Right, he is more like a RhINO.
Why do I bring this up? Apparently when group-think takes place at Google, it is left-leaning group-think. I can't imagine that we're on anybody's radar, but you never really know.
So we're going to conduct a little experiment. It may mean something, it may mean nothing. I don't know the results, so we're going to conduct it in real time.
August 9, using Safari on the Mac Book Pro
I simply googled Beacon of Speech. I assume that by using the logarithms that a specific search using that specific tag would get us some good results.
9th search down on Google is the Beacon of Speech Blog. The Mac Book is where most of the articles are posted from. The description I provided to Wix came up in my search: Free Speech is under attack from the left and the right in America. The website is one step above screaming into a megaphone while standing on a soapbox. No other Beacon of Speech related items are in the Top 50.
Tried typing in Beacon of Speech in Bing. No results in Top 50.
Tried typing in Beacon of Speech in Ask. No results in Top 50.
Tried typing in Beacon of Speech in Yahoo! No results in Top 50.
Tried typing in Beacon of Speech in WebCrawler. No results in Top 50.

Tried typing Beacon of Speech in Bing. No results in Top 50.
Tried typing Beacon of Speech in Baidu. No results in Top 50. (This is depressing.)
Hmmm...
August 9, how about Fred Hunt's Beacon of Speech?
On Google, 8 of the 10 first searches are related to the Beacon of Speech Website, but none 11-50.
On Bing, first three searches are related to the Beacon of Speech Website, none 4-50.
On Ask, only episode #37 comes up for Beacon of Speech. Very strange.
On Yahoo, 3 of the first 10 searches are related to the site. None 11-50.
On WebCrawler 1-3 are all Beacon of Speech. None 4-50.
On Baidu...what is this? So only the first search is related to Beacon of Speech. Apparently, on a site called Mashpedia, dozens of Beacon of Speech videos exist.
August 9, how about Fred Hunt's Beacon of Speech, in Google Images?
First 4 pictures are related to the website.
Yeah, I think I'm done....
Okay, one more:
August 9, how about Fred Hunt in Google Images?
Nice. 62 Videos, 120+ Articles, and various nonsense on the Beacon of Speech site, and this is what comes up when you search Fred Hunt: The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed to EKB News that an explosion at a mobile home at Orchard Branch in Prater Creek last night was, in fact, a meth lab explosion. The explosion happened before 10 p.m. last night. No one was injured in the explosion, but a man, Fred Hunt, has been arrested in connection with the incident. Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt said once officers arrived at the scene, they discovered blue smoke bellowing out of a window of a mobile that had been blown out. - EKB
Apparently EKB can see into the future.
After Beacon of Speech fails, that'll be me...
in 2026.
