I love the Streaming APP Tubi.
This past weekend I watched a terrible movie called Street Trash (1987). As mentioned before, we here at Beacon of Speech tend to love bad movies and hate popular movies. As soon as Street Trash was over, I looked to see if there was a Street Trash 2.
Sadly there was not.
But as I scrolled endlessly through Tubi, I started to notice a trend. There were movies that I had never heard of... with sequels. A lot of them since Covid hit in March of 2020. Where did all these movies come from?
10. The Bachelor Party 2: It's a Wonderful Lifestyle (The Rise of the Showstopper) (2019)
Not a sequel to Tom Hanks' Bachelor Party (1984) nor a sequel to 2011's The Bachelor Party.
For those in the back who claim that they saw Bachelor Party 2, that was the sequel to Hanks' movie in 2008. The Bachelor Party Episode 2, appears to be a sequel to 2018's The Bachelor Party.
Maybe this article wasn't such a great idea after all.
9. Twisted House Sitter 2 (2023)
Not only is Twisted House Sitter 2 on Tubi, but it's a Tubi Original.
Twisted House Sitter 2 is about Vivica A Fox's 200th movie. (Not exaggerating).
8. Built 2 Kill (2023)
A sequel to 2020's Built TO Kill, the movie is described as "Cutting edge tales of feminist-horror from the original "Built to Kill" film creators."
I couldn't even find a trailer for the sequel, but I assure you that the movie is on Tubi.
7. The Stalker: Part II (2023)
Left off right where the original finished---
Where the hell was that?
6. The House in Between Part 2 (2022)
In the year 2020, a documentary was made of the "most haunted house in America." Two years later, the filmmakers returned to the scene of the crime. Not a lot of documentary sequels out there.
I'll tell you what, the Robot Ninja team have a really nice website.
5. Trust Nobody 2: Still No Trust (2023)
You would have thought that after you trusted no one, it would just be a given that you'd have no trust in the future.
Trust Nobody 3 came out a few months ago.
4. Return to Splatter Farm (2020)
I understand how those Camp Crystal Lake kids could be tricked. Crystal Lake sounds like a nice place.
But Splatter Farm? People should have known better in the first place. The original Splatter Farm film was released straight-to-video in 1987, about the the same time as Street Trash.
3. To the Beat: Back 2 School (2020)
A sequel to 2018's To the Beat, the kids at my son's high school have more talent.
High School Musical they ain't.
2. Dark Night of the Scarecrow 2 (2022)
At first glance, Dark Night of the Scarecrow 2 appears to be just another low budget horror movie.
But the original was the CBS movie of the week on October 24,1981, the week before Halloween. It starred such classic character actors as Larry Drake, Charles Durning, and Alice Nunn
1. Camp Blood 666: Part 2 (2023)
Now, of course, I'd seen a few of the early Camp Blood movies, but I gave up on the franchise many, many years ago. Imagine my surprise when I came across this preview at Tubi:
Is this movie really a direct sequel to Camp Blood 666 (which is technically Camp Blood 7), or is it simply just Camp Blood 12....
I give up.
8 years ago, I made a low-budget movie called Blasphemers. It didn't even make it to Tubi. Here's that preview:
Would I make a sequel to that disaster?
In a second.
